Ahmedabad: 200 grams of gold jewellery stolen from locked house in Bapunagar

AHMEDABAD: A man has lodged a complaint against the burglars who broke into his house and decamped with 200 grams of gold jewellery worth Rs 7 lakh in Bapunagar, Ahmedabad in Gujarat on Tuesday.
According to Jayesh Jain, 43, complainant, his parents, his wife Sonalben and his daughter had gone to Pashwnath Digambar Jain Temple at Khodiyarnagar on Tuesday night, as it was the first day of Paryushan.

Jayesh who owns a steel shop by the name of Shiv Shakti steel Centre had mentioned in the complaint that after locking the house they had kept the keys in the electric metre box .

“When they came back, his wife took the keys from the meter box and opened the door. She was shocked to see the metal box, in which they used to keep their gold jewellery, lying open. The jewellery was found stolen,” said a police official.
“We suspect known persons’ involvement in the incident,” police added.
